Cherry Studio brings model conversations, translation and knowledge bases into one workspace, and can export conversations. For someone comparing assistants, our suggested first task is to ask two connected models to simplify the same paragraph. Compare meaning and missing details before choosing a response; this is an exercise, not a measured ranking.

Connect DeepSeek separately

The DeepSeek setup guide requires an API key and a funded provider balance. In Settings → Model Provider, select DeepSeek, add the key, save, then sync and select models. The default API host needs no change. For knowledge-base use, the guide requires a separate embedding model: DeepSeek can provide the chat responses.
