Turn an interface idea into code

Vercel’s v0 generates code and full-stack applications from prompts. It can use mockups as a starting point and supports building application behavior alongside the interface.

When should you explore it?

Our suggested use is a product screen that needs to be discussed with colleagues. Describe the information hierarchy and the actions a user must complete. Include the empty, loading and error states in the brief rather than judging only the first attractive screen.

A useful first task

Ask for a supplier-comparison dashboard with three fictional suppliers, a filter and a detail panel. Specify which criteria matter and what should happen when no supplier matches. Review the reading order on a phone as well as a laptop. Then request one improvement based on a colleague’s feedback.

What to check

Before deployment, distinguish sample data from a real database connection. Check the Vercel project, environment settings and any external service requirements. Verify that a published URL shows the version you reviewed.
