Replit documents manual model choice in Power and Max

Replit’s documentation allows Core and Pro builders to choose supported models, including Claude, subject to account availability.

The selection guide describes the controls: open Agent Mode in the prompt box, choose Power or Max, then pick an available model under Primary model. That choice applies to the next message. The account’s own list governs availability, which can vary with rollout, organization settings and authorization. If Primary model is absent, manual selection is not yet available for that account.

The mode guide distinguishes Free Mode, which always chooses models automatically, from paid Auto selection in Power or Max, which consumes subscription credits. In shared projects, each collaborator retains personal Agent settings; a teammate changing modes does not change yours. Free Mode usage limits and their reset timing are visible under Settings, then Usage.

Enterprise controls explain another boundary: automatic routing only selects models authorized by account and workspace policies. Builders can turn Auto off to choose an authorized model themselves. These controls are exclusive to Enterprise account administrators, with sales enabling them for the organization. Administrators can give different workspaces different selections of available models. Policies apply to workspaces, not individual user groups within one workspace.

TechCrunch reports the model-access clarification.
