Jev reaches 35% of paid AI Gateway teams in Vercel’s launch data
Vercel reports record early adoption for TypeSafe AI’s decision model. Its first-two-week reach was large, while its share of gateway spending remained small.

Reach is different from revenue
TypeSafe AI’s Jev reached 35.3% of paid teams in its first 14 days on Vercel AI Gateway, the platform’s fastest adoption. It captured 0.27% of estimated list-price spending over that window; 55.6% of first-week users returned in week two. These figures separate trial breadth, spending and repeat use. October index
Decisions that software can consume
Jev evaluates declared questions in parallel and returns typed choices, scores or Boolean probabilities. Vercel exposes it through the AI SDK’s experimental evaluation interface. Its documented uses include routing a request, choosing an agent’s next tool and checking an output before a workflow continues. This architecture removes the need to extract a decision from generated prose. Gateway integration

Performance claims need their conditions
TypeSafe’s advertised speed and cost gains—up to 193.6 and 444.6 times respectively—come from its own workflow evaluations. Those comparisons use other models’ averaged predictions as reference probabilities, rather than verified ground-truth classifications. The company acknowledges possible bias from workflows designed by its capabilities team and calls the gains the higher end of likely real-world improvements. TypeSafe launch analysis
For adopters, the useful next step is to validate decisions on their own labeled cases. TypeSafe’s documentation says confidence is calculated from the answer’s probability distribution and recommends thresholds adapted to risk, with uncertain cases sent for review or another system. A well-formed output still needs a workflow that handles wrong decisions. Confidence documentation
Vercel also defines a team as an account workspace, which may represent an individual or group; one company can own several. Its gateway statistics therefore describe a particular distribution channel. The adoption record is evidence of demand there, rather than a count of companies or the whole AI market.
