Understand a paper

SciSpace helps students and researchers ask questions about a PDF, summarize its sections and explain highlighted passages. Answers include references to sections of the document; notes help organize the reading.

Suggested exercise: ask what method a paper uses, then compare the answer with its cited section. This is a proposed task, not a tested result.

Start with readable text

The official guide starts with signing in, opening Chat with PDF from the dashboard and uploading a research PDF. After the chat appears, ask focused questions about methods or limitations. Insights can be saved to a notebook. The guide warns that scanned images cannot be analyzed without OCR text recognition.
