Runway

Generate video from text, with prompts describing the scene, motion and camera behavior.

For an atmospheric cutaway—steam over a cup or a camera passing a display—Runway's text-to-video path lets you work without a starting image. Its prompting guide positions this approach for B-roll when exact scene or character consistency matters less.

If you already have an approved product photo, Gen-4.5 also accepts an image with a text prompt. Describe motion for image-to-video; describe appearance and motion for text-to-video. The documented clip duration is 2–10 seconds. See the Gen-4.5 workflow.

Editorial exercise: request one slow push toward a cup on a café counter; compare a version changing only the camera movement. Reject takes with changing cup geometry or disappearing objects: Runway explicitly lists object permanence and cause-and-effect errors among Gen-4.5's limitations.
