From an idea to an application
Replit Agent creates applications from natural-language instructions and can handle project setup, code and testing. Its Plan mode lets you discuss the approach before changes begin.
When is it worth exploring?
Our suggested use is a small internal tool whose workflow you can describe clearly. Before building, list the people using it, the records they need and the actions each person should be allowed to take.
A useful first task
Ask for a plan for an equipment-loan tracker: item name, borrower, due date and returned status. Start with invented records and one user role. Request a list of unanswered questions before asking Agent to build. Then try adding, editing and returning an item in the preview.
What to check
Separate building from publishing. Check whether records persist after a reload and how access will work for another user. Review the current Agent usage and hosting terms before expanding the prototype.
