When the result must remain editable

Recraft generates images and vector graphics and includes editing, vectorisation and mockup tools. A useful reason to consider it is a design brief that needs scalable icons or illustrations rather than only a finished bitmap.

Try a small icon family

Our suggested first task: request three simple icons for an imaginary gardening service: planting, watering and pruning. Specify the same stroke weight, rounded corners and two colours. Choose vector output where available. Open the result in your usual vector editor and inspect whether the shapes are understandable and practical to modify. Test each icon at the smallest size it will appear on the website, then remove details that become visual noise.

Check the deliverable, not the preview

A convincing preview does not establish that the exported file suits your workflow. Inspect paths, colours and consistency before approving a set.
