AI Backgrounds requires a source image, removes its background and generates a replacement from a theme, reference image or description. Suggested exercise: use your own mug photo and describe a kitchen counter, then inspect the generated setting.

Platform differences

Generation requires AI credits. On the web, choosing a theme after entering a prompt makes the tool ignore that prompt; mobile can combine them.
