A new educator course in Portuguese
In an OpenAI announcement dated 15 October 2026, the company said it was launching AI for Educators in Brazilian Portuguese. OpenAI describes the intended audience as educators in primary, secondary, and higher education. The announcement establishes the launch and audience; it does not serve as an independent review of the course.
What the question-led mode is designed to do
The Study Mode feature page says the mode guides learners with questions, hints, and step-by-step explanations instead of relying only on a quick answer. It describes quizzes and open-ended questions as knowledge checks, with feedback intended to strengthen weak spots.
The Help Center states concrete limits
In its Limitations section, the Help Center states that Study Mode can make mistakes and tells users to double-check important information. It also says the mode may sometimes give a direct answer even though it is designed to ask questions and work through answers with the learner. These cautions come from the product documentation itself.
A documented writing workflow keeps the work with the student
OpenAI’s student writing guide suggests asking ChatGPT to review an outline’s structure and comment on the flow of ideas. It also proposes dialogue that helps the student articulate and refine ideas rather than delegating the thinking. When ChatGPT suggests research sources, the guide says the resulting direction is a starting point and facts still need to be double-checked.
