Oracle is developing a workspace that brings its applications and data into ChatGPT for approved business tasks.

According to OpenAI, Oracle AI Workspace is intended to help employees find information and complete approved work across applications. Its finance example combines purchasing, costs and preparations for closing the month. This is a described goal for a product under development, with company permissions and approvals retained.

Building an app still includes approval

Oracle describes App Composer as a way for teams to build business applications with AI, including without coding expertise. Its illustrated workflow starts with a team creating an app, then previewing and approving it before deployment on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Once the app is published, authorized colleagues can access it through enterprise sign-in. IT controls access, policies and resources throughout. Later changes can also be previewed and published; engineering can take ownership while preserving source, settings and change history.

Security findings go back to the team

For security teams, Oracle describes Security Mesh as mapping systems and testing possible attack paths within customer-approved access. A separate agent checks whether findings can be reproduced. The team reviews recommended fixes and agent-assisted code changes before retesting. Knowledge of the systems remains private to the business and informs later assessments. Isolated testing and independent monitoring are described as helping keep investigations within the approved plan; they are not a guarantee of complete protection.
