n8n’s archived written lesson explicitly adapts this video. It connects Chat Trigger, AI Agent and a chat model, then adds Simple Memory. It also changes the system message and inspects agent logs. You need n8n access and credentials for your chosen model.

Use the current Chat Trigger reference alongside the older lesson. Keep public access off during development. When loading previous sessions from memory, connect Chat Trigger and Agent to the same memory node.
