Gamma: hand over a presentation as a PowerPoint file

Export the whole presentation, keep tables editable and account for the missing slide master.

Prepare a small team update

Suggested exercise: paste notes about a completed task, an unresolved issue and a next step into Gamma’s dashboard prompt bar. Ask for a presentation for your team, with those three sections. In the agent workflow, choose Plan, answer its questions, adjust the proposed plan and approve it before building. A mobile browser starts in Express, which skips that review; switch modes if you want it. After generation, request changes in chat or edit manually.

Export the complete deck

Follow Gamma’s export steps: open Share, then Export, choose All cards and PowerPoint (PPTX). The card selector matters because otherwise you may download only the current slide. Tables remain editable by default, but rounded table corners become sharp in PowerPoint. The exported deck has no slide master layout, even though each slide keeps content and styling.

Inspect the handoff file

For this exercise, open the downloaded file in the destination application and check for clipped text, displaced diagrams and unreadable sections. Gamma’s troubleshooting guide says exports follow presentation view rather than editing view. Its scaling control applies to fixed-format exports; fluid PDF and PNG slides are unaffected. If you upload the PPTX to Google Slides, that application substitutes embedded fonts. For a persistently misplaced diagram, Gamma recommends contacting support after trying a fresh export and checking scaling.
