Follow a multilingual meeting

DeepL describes a service for teams working across languages. After its bot is admitted, it streams meeting audio for translation and shares a link in the chat. Participants open that link and choose their language. Breakout-room translation is not supported.

Prepare a first trial

For a short practice meeting, follow the connection guide: the translation manager needs a Voice for Meetings license, external participants must be allowed, and meeting chat must be enabled. In the web app, sign in, choose Translate new meeting, paste the meeting invitation link and start translation. An access code is optional.

Subtitles and speech differ

The access guide distinguishes reading from listening. Subtitle readers need no DeepL account or license; the translation manager does. Each person who wants translated audio needs the desktop app and an eligible Voice license. Audio-translation usage consumes the manager’s allowance, rather than listeners’ individual allowances.
