Generate question–answer pairs, then use practice mode.

Start with a short source

For a proposed study exercise, choose a short PDF chapter you can read yourself. Upload it and use Summarize in the chat, as the summary guide describes. Follow a page reference back into the document. Suggested check: identify one definition and its stated exception, then ask a follow-up question if the overview leaves their relationship unclear. The overview helps orient this exercise; it is not your finished answer sheet.

Generate and practise

The flashcard guide accepts a document or pasted text and generates question–answer pairs. For this example, use the same short chapter. Suggested target: a question about the definition and another about the exception, so remembering a term does not replace understanding its limit. Practice mode lets you mark cards easy, medium or hard; CSV export is available. These are documented options, not results from our own trial.

Check the answer against the passage

Return to the document conversation in ChatPDF. Its side-by-side view keeps the PDF beside the chat, and clickable citations lead to source content. Suggested acceptance check: ask about each card’s answer, open the cited passage and compare the condition as well as the wording. Set aside an unsupported card instead of treating fluent phrasing as evidence. Saved chat history requires an account; plan for that if you want to return later.
