Prepare the files

The upload guide describes adding a folder for questions across documents: click Upload Folder and select the folder, or drag it into the interface. After uploading, you can ask about the files together; supported formats include PDF, Word and TXT. For a parsing failure, the guide suggests checking the format or uploading again.

Ask for a bounded table

For practice, you could use two related manuals and ask: “List each manual’s stated maintenance tasks and intervals in a table; identify the manual and mark missing intervals as unspecified.” This is a suggested exercise based on the question guide’s advice to give context, be specific and request a structured format, not a tested result. Enter the question, choose a model, then send it.

The verification guide says page links open the relevant section, reference markers open source snippets, and highlighted numbers lead back to original data; these methods also work across files. Suggested check: follow the citations for every proposed row and read the task and interval in the named manual. If the passage does not support a row, leave that row unconfirmed rather than treating the generated table as instructions.

ChatDOC requires internet access, and its free plan limits uploads and questions, according to its overview. This workflow follows provider documentation; it is not an accuracy test.
