In its October 15 announcement, AWS describes a simpler starting point for developers trying AI models. New customers can start from a supported Hugging Face model page or the Studio page, then sign up to reach the environment for customization, evaluation and deployment. The feature covers commercial AWS regions supporting Studio.

Teams can invite colleagues by email. Each collaborator signs in with their own email credentials to share Studio models, notebooks and endpoints, without setting up IAM users.

The underlying project system groups an AWS account with team-sharing settings. AWS creates this structure; invitees receive access to specified projects. On the paid plan, customers add payment details and choose a monthly project spending ceiling, starting at $20. They pay actual usage plus taxes. Notifications precede reaching the ceiling; at the ceiling AWS pauses the project, which can resume after its limit is raised.

The credit rules give new customers $100, with another $100 potentially earnable. Free access lasts six months or until credits run out, whichever comes first. Resource usage then stops. Customers can upgrade to a paid plan by adding payment details.
