Model development

According to AWS, Studio brings notebooks, model training, experiment comparison and deployment into one interface. Developers can use managed JupyterLab, a coding environment for working with notebooks.

A first configuration exercise

For a supported Hugging Face model, choose Deploy, Amazon SageMaker AI, then Deploy on SageMaker AI and follow AWS sign-in. For new accounts, Studio opens deployment configuration with that model selected. Our suggested stopping point is to inspect the selected model and instance quota availability. This is preparation for deployment. Existing AWS accounts keep their usual sign-in.

Try it: a CurioFuse exercise

An original editorial exercise with a checkable outcome.

Write a configuration decision before deploying

CurioFuse fictional brief: “Evaluate one existing text-classification model; do not train it, publish an endpoint or start paid compute.” Record the proposed model identifier, revision, required runtime and the account's available instance quota. For each field, keep a documentation reference or mark it unknown.

The acceptable outcome is a configuration note and a list of unresolved checks, not a running service. If the proposed model or runtime differs from the brief, stop and explain the mismatch.

This exercise is useful for separating preparation from deployment; it provides no claim that the model was run or that any configuration is free.
