Acrobat

Ask about a PDF and return to the cited passage.

For readers working in Acrobat, the document-question workflow starts with opening a PDF, selecting AI Assistant, entering a question and submitting it; a source number returns you to the relevant section.

Suggested practice: ask where a manual describes a maintenance task, then follow the source number to that passage; this is an illustrative task, not a tested result.

The requirements include internet access, a supported Adobe ID and enabled generative AI. Use the new Acrobat experience and a supported app language. English documents are supported; Hungarian is not listed. PDFs must be under 100 MB, at most 600 pages, without password or usage restrictions, and not portfolios.

Adobe’s disclosures say citations are absent when the question and response language differs from the document. For the suggested English-manual exercise, keep the question and response in English too. Answers may be missing or wrong, and citations may point to unrelated passages; read the cited text before relying on the answer. Matching languages does not guarantee an accurate citation.
